Professor Rebecca Long took on a service-learning course within her first semester of joining the College in fall 2020. In her Health Assessment and Promotion course, students are tasked with educating the public on health-based topics and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Students are creating educational videos to accompany flyers and brochures. QR codes and links to these videos will be provided to attendees of America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia's food distribution event in November. Links to the videos and brochures can be found on this webpage in the area below.

"Rebecca Long and BSN students from the Health Assessment and Promotion course are partnering with America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and Bay Harbor Church of God to implement a virtual health fair. Clients attending the Fall food distribution event will have the opportunity to watch Student-created educational videos while they wait. These videos provide information on relevant health promotion activities to include smoking cessation, stress and mental health, elder abuse, skin checks, breast health, intimate partner violence, stroke, and blood pressure."
