Abstract:
My project represents the organization CASA and what they do for the children in group homes or that are with their parents that need out of the house because of something going on at home. They place these children in the best of homes they find for them so they can thrive in an environment without the matters going on at home effecting it. When I was in the office with the CASA I was working with during this project I had helped clean the filing cabinets, picked up toys, and I’m going to attend the fashion show that is to raise money for the children and to advocate for them while there. The project had a impact on me personally and the community by really just knowing that there is so much more that we can do as a community itself for these children to maybe be involved with the system and foster children or help advocate for them on the sidelines, because they need it more than anything. The relationship with my project and the outcomes from it is amazing I have learned so much about the system and where it would lead me in the future for the passion to foster these children more than I want too. I have always wanted to foster or adopt but just learning more about it leads me in the direction to wanting to foster more!
