Satilla River Project

Abstract:
My name is Aj Lewis, and I have been working with Satilla Riverkeeper, my community partner, to keep the Satilla River clean and safe for everyone. My project is not finished, but right now, I'm focusing on looking at a map and finding clusters of septic tanks around the river. And see if there are any drainage issues. It is important because the Satilla River is an important habitat for many animals (brown pelicans, swallow-tailed kites, and more). Keeping the river clean will keep Brunswick and the surrounding towns' ecosystems stable. Hopefully finding these septic tanks and get them regulated by the health department. Will keep Satilla River and many others clean and safe for us, and for future generations.
