Period Poverty in Adolescence

Abstract:
The group collaborated with the Director of Communities in Schools for Glynn County to determine the best means for developing and implementing the project. Every middle school in Glynn County is a Title 1 (distinguishing them as low income) school. The need for hygiene education and support was identified and the project was built. The group provided middle school girls with an interactive information session, flyers, handouts, and a Kahoot game for review. The group also provided feminine hygiene products to the school so girls could have access to supplies that they may otherwise not.
