Boys and Girls Club Employee Recruitment Project

Authors: Grayson Powell

Faculty Supervisor: Mary McGinnis, Ph.D.

Community Partner: Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia

Abstract:

The goal of this project was to help staff the "Terry Thomas Club" which is one of the Boys and Girls club's location through the use of a virtual flier. This flier was posted on multiple job boards including the college's. This is actually one of there largest locations in the Southeast. This organization has a huge impact on a large percentage of this city's youth. Being able to give back to the local community in any way is gives me a gift of satisfaction that I couldn't get anywhere else. If this project gets just one more employee or staff for this location the effect could be significant to the youth that attend which in turn could have greater long-term affect on the community.
