Abstract:
Our clinical experience placement was in a 5th grade math classroom. The students were academically advanced, which made it interesting to see their learning. Mrs. McKenzie did Eureka math lessons each day in whole group instruction during this time co-teachers did one teach, two assist. We monitored student behavior and answered questions during instruction. There was time for strategically planned small group intervention where us as co-teachers got to work with small groups revisiting skills from previous units, and or challenging new skills.
