Abstract:

Service-learning (S-L) is fully integrated into the CCGA ASN Program. This poster and/or podium will discuss the strategies, challenges, and successes that the ASN program have experienced when implementing S-L into a curriculum.  Community partners, such as First Friday, Golden Isles Career Academy, and the College of Coastal Georgia have been integral for the success of S-L and the learning outcomes. Each semester the students complete projects that increase in complexity, in conjunction with the curriculum. This poster will focus on aspects of each S-L course and how S-L assists in meeting student learning outcomes.
