Abstract:

Outdoor Activity Day was an educational day of fun. The residents of Addington Place joined us on their patio to play yard games such as bache ball, ladder golf, and jenga. As the day warmed up we distributed popsicles, water bottles and information regarding the benefits and importance of staying hydrated, active, and spending time in the sun shine. Our educational material was enlightening to the residents as to the extent of benefits gained from exercise, hydration and sunshine are ultimately life-extending. Along with the education, this project allowed us to show seniors how easy and fun it is to stay active.
