Beverly Rowe, MSN, RN, CNE

Associate Professor of Nursing

Professor Rowe holds a Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama.  She is a Certified Nurse Educator, Vision Screener, and a Basic Life Support instructor. In 2001, Professor Rowe earned the Kay Hampton Nurse Educator Award. She has taught over 10 service-learning classes and was one of the first faculty to teach service-learning courses in nursing, even before the official adoption of service-learning as the Quality Enhancement Plan for the College in 2011. Professor Rowe has attended professional development conferences on service-learning and always participates in the annual Service-Learning Symposium.

“Beverly even did  ‘service-learning’ before there was a true service-learning department, as she has always led various community service activities with her classes such as the pediatric education in the school system, hosts vision screenings in the preschools in the community, and has lead teddy bear clinics as well.”
