Abstract:
With our community being the campus at the College of Coastal Georgia, our group decided to focus on helping to promote safe and responsible practices on the party scene. We know that oftentimes, younger students entering their first college experiences will be drawn to parties and the sense of adventure and rebellion associated. We wanted to encourage those attending parties to be proactive when it comes to personal safety measures, especially when drinking alcohol. We were able to effectively symbolize some of the key risks associated with partying and vulnerable situations when personal safety is not top-of-mind. Our community really responded well to the implementation of our project. We could really see some of enlightenment of our visitors when we exemplified how quickly and inconspicuously their drink could be tampered with. Our group felt great about helping educate our community on party safety. The topic was very relevant, and useful to our visitors.
