Welcome to the 2020 Service-Learning Symposium!

This year marks the 8th annual symposium, but this is the first year this event is in an all-digital format.

Explore the presentations to see the wonderful work our faculty and students are doing in collaboration with our community partner agencies. Vote on your favorite presentation using the "Vote" link located on the Presentations home page or on each presentation page below the poster images. Be sure to check out the awards page to see the winners of our annual Excellence in Service-Learning Awards.

The College of Coastal Georgia's Center for Service-Learning is happy you have decided to join us in viewing presentations of the service-learning collaborations across a myriad of academic disciplines and across a wide array of community partner agencies addressing some of our community's most pressing issues.

Service-learning is a teaching and learning method that utilizes a combination of academic course content and relevant service with community agencies. The classroom learning for students is augmented with service activities that are intended to provide exposure to and enhanced understanding of course concepts and theories. Service activities are negotiated between the faculty member teaching the course, the community organization, and the students so that the service equally benefits student learning and a community need. To learn more about the College's service-learning program visit our Service-Learning webpage.

An extra special thank you to our student and faculty presenters, faculty sponsors, and Michele Johnson, Public Services Librarian.
