Abstract:
Avoidance and transmission of harmful microbes can be prevented through handwashing. Hand hygiene is regarded as the most important element of infection control. Scientific evidence supports the observation that if properly implemented, hand hygiene can significantly reduce the risk of cross-transmission of infection.
