Essential Education for New and Expecting Mothers

Abstract:
Skylark offers an earn as you learn program for clients to encourage participation in the educational courses and counseling services they offer. We decided this would be the best way to reach the most clients. A class was set up for us to teach a group of new and expecting mothers about post-partum depression, basic newborn care, SIDS, and proper newborn nutrition. The topics were chosen after evaluation of Skylark’s curriculum did not cover these topics.
