Dr. Bluhm was one of the inaugural winners of the Excellence in Service-Learning Outstanding Faculty Award earned annually by expressing high standards in service-learning (S-L) course development, student support, and collaboration. Since spring of 2012, Dr. Bluhm has had students present at the College’s Service-Learning Symposium, has presented her research at UGA’s 2017 Innovation in Teaching Conference, and served the College as both a S-L Faculty Fellow and on the S-L Advisory Committee.

"Dr. Bluhm has exposed students to a range of Service-Learning experiences through her classes. She has partnered with a number of local community-based agencies and organizations.  Through these efforts, she has helped to ensure that our psychology program majors can engage in this kind of "real world" experiential learning - a key feature and strength of our program."
