Environmental projects that not only benefit students educational experience but the local environment of the community have been the focus of Dr. James Deemy’s last two service-learning internship courses. Through those courses, he supervised nine students engaging in internships with local community agencies. Within both these internship courses, students worked with various environmental organizations to develop and complete projects to learn more about the local environment and the steps to take towards sustainability and preservation.
