Dr. Caroline Geiken has taught three service-learning courses in which she asks teacher candidates to consider how teacher candidates can meet the needs of their students. Through her teaching of service-learning courses, she has engaged over 40 teacher candidates to understand how they can best meet the needs of each individual student. Dr. Geiken supports the idea that every student grows, learns, and develops at their own pace and she is passionate about helping teacher candidates build this mindset to strengthen their teaching methods.
