Talk about hitting the ground running. Dr. Anelise Farris has taught three service-learning courses since spring 2020. Students in her English Composition II course are given the freedom to select a community issue to address and community partner organization they wish to work with for their service-learning project. With this autonomy, students have helped build upon and expand partnerships in new and exciting ways. In just one year of service-learning teaching, Dr. Farris has reached 65 students and extended community partnerships as far as Chatham and Liberty Counties through service-learning.

"Dr. Anelise Farris has had an immediate and positive impact on service-learning at the College. She has engaged with multiple community partners, and she is an asset to the program."
