Professor Emily Boyle is a rising star in service-learning (S-L). Since her first S-L course in fall 2018, Professor Boyle has taught five English Composition II service-learning courses at the Camden Center. College of Coastal Georgia students in Camden do not have as many opportunities to take service-learning courses. So, these offerings are much needed for the positive academic outcomes for the students and for the impacts these projects have on the community.

Their College of Coastal Georgia scarecrows for the St. Marys’ Scarecrow Stroll last fall were super cute!! In the spring, they were helping a local elementary school prepare for a community garden. Awesome!!”
