Dr. Patrice Edwards implemented service-learning in her Principles of Physics I course and lab in the fall of 2021. Her project involved students developing 10-15-minute physics lesson videos that were used by teachers for students at Darnell Cookman Middle School in Duval County, Florida. Students in Dr. Edwards’ courses studied physics concepts and developed a lesson and an activity centering on that concept. The objective of this project was to engage students in a more in-depth learning approach to be able to teach others about these concepts.
