4-H Tidelands Nature Center is a University of Georgia 4-H Program. Tidelands offers nature walks at various locations around the island, kayak tours in the salt marsh, school group and public coastal ecology programs, as well as our exhibit live coastal species gallery, featuring; sea turtles, gopher tortoises, fish, horseshoe crabs, snakes, alligators, and more! Tidelands is currently open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday for extra cleaning and exhibit care. Admission price: $5.00 per person.
