Golden Isles College & Career Academy: Health Occupations Program
Robyn Rhodes is the instructor of the Occupational Health Program at The Golden Isles College and Career Academy (GICCA). The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) faculty have partnered with this organization every year since the inception of the official service-learning initiative here at College of Coastal Georgia. Student groups have collaborated with Mrs. Rhodes to identify health and safety topics relevant to teens who range in age from ages 15-18. During the most recent experience, Mrs. Rhodes arranged for the Sports Medicine students to join in the Coastal Georgia nursing students' presentation on stress management for teens through art and meditation. Mrs. Rhodes also discussed ways to future strengthen the partnership through collaborative on-campus activities with the health occupations students and the ASN students.
