Abstract:

Open Doors is a program under the Faith Works umbrella. Open Doors offers support to convicted felons and recent parolees trying to get back on their feet. The services they offer include; group counseling sessions, resume building, job hunting assistance, and transportation if needed. The goal of Open Doors is to reduce the rate of recidivism, or re-engagement in criminal activity. The staff and volunteers at Open Doors show compassion to individuals that society has counted out.
