Abstract:

For our project in our Senior Capstone Practicum Psychology course, we developed 24 lesson plans for Blueprint Family Night - part of United Way of Coastal Georgia’s Blueprint Project. The lessons are designed to engage parents and children on various topics in a variety of skill areas as well as understanding emotions and feelings. The lessons will be taught over the course of one year.  Each lesson contains an introduction explaining how the current lesson builds on the skills learned in the previous lesson. We also created a colorful flyer for advertisement to accompany each lesson. Recruiting participants can be challenging and we hope the flyers will help raise interest. We presented the Blueprint project with a bound copy of all 24 lessons as well as an electronic copy for practical use and distribution.
