Abstract:

In AMST 3700, students demonstrate an appreciation for studying cultural values, products and practices through interdisciplinary approaches, and they identify, select, and apply appropriate methodologies for studying cultural values, products, and practices.  Through service-learning, students develop additional competencies such as adapting and applying skills, abilities, theories or methodologies gained in one situation to new situations to solve problems or explore issues.
