The Sport of Chess

Abstract:
Our Service-Learning project for Sports Psychology was to work with the Golden Isles Chess Association and provide service to their organization during their last tournament of the season. We provided set-up for the event the day before the tournament and also decided to learn the psychology of chess and compete in the tournament ourselves. We participated in seven games and were able to apply what we had learned in class with our service.
