Abstract:
The presentation entitled First Pilgrims will discuss the French colony created by protestants in the 1500s that was most likely located on the St. Mary’s River. Bagwell will offer an overview of the story and will detail the steps needed to produce a television special on the topic. Speech will include a PowerPoint with brief video clips from completed interviews and visuals such as hand-colored prints c. 1500s of the colony and of the Mocama indigenous people.
