This guide provides information regarding the various formatted newspapers available through the College of Coastal Georgia Libraries. These formats include physical copies and those on microfilm available for viewing at the Gould Memorial Library. This guide also provides information regarding the Group Pass subscription to the New York Times and how to access it. Information is also available on other newspapers available online through our catalog and databases along with other newspapers that are available for free elsewhere on the web.
The following newspaper databases are in GALILEO. If you are off campus, access GALILEO through D2L, or log in to GALILEO with your college username and password credentials.

New users must create an account. Students may access their passes for as long as they are enrolled at Coastal.
Academic passes for faculty and staff are issued for 364 days. Users will be notified via e-mail when it is time to re-authenticate or renew. Existing users who need to renew their accounts must log in from the pass page.
You must be on campus to create and re-authenticate accounts.

4. Click the link Create Account and complete registration fields
Once completed, you may navigate directly to nytimes.com from any web-enabled device (or download the newspaper's mobile apps).
1. Navigate to accessnyt.com.
2. Search for or select College of Coastal Georgia
3. Click the here link. (You must be on campus to re-authenticate your account.)
You will be redirected to The New York Times welcome page.
4. Click the link Already have an account? Log in here.
5. Log in with your existing New York Times username and password.
Once completed, your digital access will be restored and you can navigate directly to nytimes.com from any web-enabled device (or download the newspaper's mobile apps).
