Community Partner: Glynn County Animal Control

Abstract:

Our project was to create a Public Service Announcement focused upon being a good dog or cat owner for our community partner, the Animal Control of Glynn County. This means that we were to describe what is needed out of someone to take care of their pet. The project was to be created in a video format, and will be ran on both the Animal Control's website and Glynn County's public service station. The Animal Control of Glynn County services Glynn County by rescuing animals, offering adoption services for rescued animals, and educating the public on how to take care of their pets. We collaborated virtually through "Animaker." Animaker is a website that allows users to create videos with many different assets that they host. We were impressed when learning about how much information should be provided to a new pet owner, and how much it takes to properly care for a dog or cat. Our video can now be used to kick start a long and healthy relationship between new owners and their pets.
