Community Partner: Camden County Humane Society and Jennifer Hutchinson

Abstract:

Group 3 made a PowerPoint educational presentation about the Importance of adoption, and why spaying and neutering your pet saves lives. We worked with Mrs. Jennifer Hutchinson who is the Volunteer Coordinator and member of the Board of Directors. Our group loves animals, which is why we choose this community partner. This project had personal significance for me because my own animals have come from the Camden County Humane Society. I have done prior service projects and volunteered time there over the years. Dr. McGinnis wanted us to incorporate what we've learned this semester into something positive that benefits the community. It is our hope that this service project will serve as an educational instrument to inform our local friends and neighbors to consider adoption over purchasing from a breeder.
