Abstract:
This service experience helped me to grow and understand how to best be flexible with students. A key take-away I learned is that no matter what the situation I am put in, I will be able to be positive and begin to implement the strategies I have learned in the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia. There are appropriate ways to set boundaries for students so that they can learn. I will use my experience to implement instructional strategies and classroom management strategies in my future classroom. One of the most important take-always I have learned is that any student can learn as long as their cognitive, developmental, linguistic, motivational, and sociocultural needs are met.
