Writing for CCGA Disability Services

Abstract:
The Office of Disability Services, our community partner, provides accommodations for those with mental and physical disabilities. For this project, we worked with the Director, Ms. Jennifer Zak. She provided information we incorporated into flyers, which we also used to work on our creative writing skills. These flyers were intended to raise awareness so students will know their legal rights, especially because there is a gap between the number of students we expect to need accommodations and the number actually seeking them. No one should be ostracized from education. The Office of Disability Services is a mandatory part of any campus because it is vital to the needs of the students.
