Abstract:

One of the goals for our service-learning project is to help others learn what HIV & AIDS are and where they came from. HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, which can destroy the immune system of an HIV-infected person who does not receive treatment. AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Note that HIV & AIDS are not the same thing. HIV leads to AIDS if the infected person does not receive treatment. We hope that the information presented in our poster is valuable to CCGA students and others reading it.
