The Truth about Domestic Violence

Authors: Maria Russell and Amandajo Roach

Faculty Supervisor: Jessica Melilli-Hand, PhD, MFA

Abstract:

Our community service partner was Glynn Community Crisis Center. We used our compostition skills we learned in class to create two flyers that discussed what domestic violence is, how to get help, and myths about domestic violence. We placed the flyers around campus for students to take and read. This project educated us and the community about what domestic violence is and how a victim can get help. After being educated about domestic violence, students should be able to recognize the signs of domestic violence and how to get help.
