Video Resources at Coastal Georgia Libraries: Searching Films on Demand

Basic Search

 

Type your terms in the search box.

  • Select the video collection for your intended subject from the drop-down list on the right (or choose to search All Videos).
  • Click  to begin the search.

 

Your result list will show you segments or titles that meet your criteria.  If you want to see the list of video titles, choose Titles in the View drop-down box.

You can also Sort the list by Relevance, Title, Copyright Date, or Date Added.

Click Play Video to watch the video and get the Title URL located in the bottom left of the screen.

Or choose to View the video Segments and select one of those instead.

Playback can be viewed in two sizes, reduced or full screen (Hit Esc to return from full screen.)  Note: The reduced screen is clearer.  Be sure to take this into consideration before projecting.

 Once a film clip is selected, the viewing window will open:

 

Advanced Search

Use the Advanced Search when you want more search options or wish to limit your search to Closed Captioned videos. Options include

  • Searching for the keywords in just the title or in all of the text
  • Searching for all of the keywords, any of the words, or as an exact phrase
  • Limiting by subject, producer, territory, copyright date, or closed captioning

Your result list will show you segments or titles that meet your criteria.  You can change the view based upon your preference by using the View drop-down box.

You can also Sort the list by Relevance, Title, Copyright Date, or Date Added.
