Where are the 3D printers located?

They are in the Gould Memorial Library in the Makerspace Room on the Brunswick campus. 

Who can use this service?

The 3D printers may be used by Coastal Georgia students, faculty, and staff who have completed the online tutorial, 3D Printing at Coastal Georgia Libraries.

How does 3D Printing fit in an Academic Library?

3D printers advance the library's mission by:

• Supporting students to prepare them for meaningful careers, advanced study, lifelong learning, and participation in a global and technological society
• Providing access to resources to serve educational needs
• Encouraging the use of current technologies and tools to enhance research and experiential learning, collaborative strategies, and expanding information networks
• Providing an essential facility where emerging and established scholars access information and gather in an atmosphere conducive to learning and other creative endeavors

The library's 3D printers may be used only for lawful purposes. 

Violations of this policy include materials that are:

• Prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
• Unsafe, harmful, dangerous or posing an immediate threat to the well-being of others. (Such use also may violate the terms of use of the manufacturer.)
• Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment.
• In violation of another's intellectual property rights. For example, the printer will not be used to reproduce material subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.

The library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.

Items that are not picked up within 14 days after being printed become the property of the Library.
